The Couple’s Role

Contacting Bella Amore to Schedule

Contact Bella Amore as soon as you know your date, and if your date is available a hold will be placed to secure the officiant.  This hold will be kept for 2 weeks, at which time confirmation and deposit is requested.  4 weeks’ notice is requested but not required.

Confirm your date with Bella Amore via email at baceremonies@gmail.com, phone or text (714-884-1523) and pay your deposit.

Confirm vows with the officiant at least 1 week prior to the event.

Arrange for at least one witness to be present in the same room as the couple (or alert Bella Amore if you need one supplied). The witness should be able to testify in court if the marriage is ever questioned.

Obtain your Marriage License

Obtaining a marriage license prior to the wedding and having the ceremony within the expiration date on the license are required for the marriage to be legal.

NOTE: A marriage cannot be performed without your valid marriage license!  It is recommended to get your license several days prior to your ceremony to avoid any issues.

You can get your marriage license one of two ways:

  • In person: The Marriage License Bureau (201 E Clark Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89101) is open 7 days a week, including holidays. Their hours are 8am-midnight.

  • Online first, then in person: At this link from your home computer or phone to fill out the application before going into the Marriage License Bureau. This saves time as your form would be complete when you walk in the door, rather than doing it in person.

  • Make sure you receive your marriage license, marriage certificate, and keepsake certificate before your wedding.

What to bring to the ceremony

Bring your marriage license, marriage certificate, and keepsake certificate, as well as spouse’s and witnesses government-issued ID’s.

Melissa will facilitate signatures and check IDs after the ceremony is performed, and file your paperwork with the county clerk within 10 calendar days of your wedding.

Marriage is not a noun; it’s a verb. It isn’t something you get. It’s something you do. It’s the way you love your partner every day.
